Transferring money to UK

Post by soheil_hooshdaran » Wed Feb 01, 2017 7:53 pm

Hello.
I need to transfer money to Barclays bank of UK. The guy at Mellat Bank told me they cannot transfer to
Barclays bank due to sanctions. So what do you suggest?

1-The proprietors specified the royalty in Dollar. Is it OK to transfer Pond Sterling instead?
2-They only gave me the info of a Bank account. What if I pay them royalty through PayPal? It's probably cheaper for me.

Does transferring in pounds offer any benefits in the UK?
Do you lose money during exchanging GBP to USD?

I can use PayPal, but I'm not sure how it can be transferred to the bank account in Barclays bank.

Inside the airport I think all you will find is bureaux de change. They will only change money from one currency to another for you, most likely at a very poor exchange rate, unless you've arranged it in advance.

This, for example. You order the currency online for collection at the airport. Although this one looks like they expect you to be resident in the UK, so perhaps it's not an option for you after all.
