I want a cellphone

Post by soheil_hooshdaran » Tue Feb 28, 2017 11:09 am

Hi.
I lost my IPhone. Now what phone do I buy?
I want it waterproof and hitting-resistant, and easy to use

I'd recommend this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorola-4800 ... Swx6pYrKCW

You'll be able to hit quite hard with it and it is easy to use.

My father bought me a Cat S40 IP68. I installed droidfish. What else do I install?

The Chessbase database App is excellent, though there is a small fee.

You can download the Lomonosov 7 man tablebase if that floats your boat.

'Scid on the go' is an alternative to the Chessbase database app. It's free and allows searches by position or player name. I maintain a Scid database on my PC and download it every so often to my Android device.

Forward Chess provides access to electronic versions of books from a number of publishers. You can switch on an engine to analyse a position and you can record notes. The prices of books fluctuate and currently, in the UK at least, appear to be a little lower than printed versions. For each book there's a free sample.

I'm not sure about downloading the Lemonosov tables to a phone. Don't they requires a huge amount of space?

Interesting. I haven't come across Forward Chess before.
