"Karl Henry was sent off for a deliberate red card" - The mighty Chris Kamara

HEADLINES

The Tractor Boy still leads, but the challengers close the gap.

Andrew Harley, Mark Leonard, Richard Beach share top score with 64 points.

Mike Lamb is no stranger to the rubbish score of the week - the Monkey dances a minimum 23

David Grobler remains in last place among the triers - two too many Hamsters maybe?

"The FA Youth Cup is massive. It's like the FA Cup for the youth team" Michael Thomas

I've lost count - this could be Week 10 HEADLINES

No change among the Top 6 - the Tractor increases his lead to 7 points.

Oi Oi! The Haddocks top score with 64. Hooray!

Oh dear - Steve Smith top scored in Week 5, now he's done the double with the rubbish score of the week (My local practice nurse has a brother called Steve Smith who plays chess - could it be?)

At the bottom David Grobler has left Mike Lamb to look after the wooden spoon.

Anyone bored yet?

"If a footballer presents himself as a family man and goes and has sex with a prostitute, should he gag her?" Nicky Campbell, Radio 5 Live

Err.....This could be Week 11

HEADLINES

The wheels come off the Tractor as Andrew Harley's Spurs take over at the top

Dance Monkey Dance retain last place, but edge closer to the Dream Team (a poor choice of name for a team placed 54 out of 55!)

Ben Edgell scores one point and gets his team back to zero balance

More football in a moment - but first, highlights of the Scottish League Cup Final - Gary Newbon

Week 12

Andrew Harley hangs on to first place, but the next 16 teams gain ground

A high scoring week with four teams delivering 80 points or more, topped by Paul Cooksey's fabulous 88

Matt Turner makes the rubbish score of the week - just 20 (the quote above is purely coincidental)

At the bottom, Mike Lamb's Dancing Monkey fall further behind - Mark Hughes could take over any day now.

I'm sorry if this is viewed as heresy by any forumites, but I couldn't really get into this. I have though started playing fantasy NFL this year at nfluk.com. I wondered if any forumites also had a fantasy NFL team and perhaps we could have a competition next year. For the record I had a poor week 10 (and I am expecting a similar week 11), but I am on 896 (4223rd place) after 10 weeks.

I'd be up for this - I played on Yahoo rather than NFLUK. Yahoo allows drafts, which means if I have A. Rodgers, no one else can. There's no points handicap for the teams to get under.

And as long as there's something like QB, 2RB, 2WR, RB/WR/TE, K, Defence, and not a full 53-man roster, I'm in.

I've played the official nfl.com fantasy game for the last few years, and I really enjoy it. You play in leagues of ten teams, and you have a draft at the start, so each player appears in the league only once. It's then matchup based, so you play against one of the other teams in your league each week. There are then playoffs for the top teams in the last two weeks of the regular season to decide the winner. Like Alex's league, you field a QB, two RBs, two WRs, a TE, a K, a DEF, and a choice of another WR/RB each week from your 15 slot roster each week. You can make trades and free agent acquisitions during the season as well. I think it's a much more entertaining format than the fantasy Premier League.

However, I was pleased to see that my fantasy Premier League team scored 76 points this week and in so doing overtook Alex's team! :)

Yahoo had exactly the same format. I don't think you're restricted to 10 teams, but I could be wrong. I agree that it's a better format than the Fantasy Premier League.

The boss just said 'If you win tonight you'll be immortal for the rest of your lives'." - Derek Johnstone

This is Week 13 (I checked), Week 14 starts tomorrow.

Headlines

Andrew Harley extends his lead at the top. Neil Milson continues his progress and slips quietly into fourth.

Top score goes to James Redburn with a huge 74, he's up to 9th

Rubbish score, a piddly 29, is the property of Nigel Wright's Inter Yaman

Mike Lamb remains in last place with little sign of recovery.

I have the dubious honour of scoring 666 so far  Are there any appropriately named footballers I could recruit for tonight's games?

WEEK 14

"It’s like trying to put a needle through a small hole." The wisdom of Alan Smith

HEADLINES

Andrew Harley motors on - the Harley is now 27 points clear of the Tractor

Lawrence Cooper has more time to concentrate on Fantasy Football nowadays and it pays off as his Wengerboys top score with 70

Send for Mark Hughes - Mike Lamb's Dancing Monkey get another rubbish score of the week - just 22 and lose further ground on the pack.

It's hell for Richard Beech who ends-up with the 666 score - Lawrence Cooper sold his soul last week and look what happened to him!

Just noticed that we appear to have been infiltrated by a non-ECF graded and non-ECF member (and possibly non-chess-playing), namely Dayne Macartney. It's a bit much to introduce yourself in Week 14 in fourth place in the League.

Does Neil Graham as our patron hold any power to kick him out now?

Week 15

"And here goes Aguero, looking to relieve himself" - Mike Ingham

Andrew Harley opens up the throttle for a big lead in first place.

Top score - a massive 81 - goes to John Reid and his Stokey Hotshots. They move up to 18th.

Rubbish score this week belongs to Siddharth Swaroop and his Annihilationism. Sounds like a wicked end game.

At the bottom poor Mike Lamb is for the slaughter.

"We’ve seen some great European nights at White Hart Lane this season, both home and away" Harry Redknapp

WEEK 16 - Does anyone read this stuff. Shall I stop?

HEADLINES

The Tractor Boy goes after the Harley, but 31 points still separate them at the top.

This week's top score is a splendid 84 by Dominic Rabbitte, he's up to 20th, 25point ahead of brother Liam.

Absolute rubbish score, a stinking 23 belongs to Mike Lamb again. Is that three or four times? Can't be bothered to check.

At the bottom, say no more, the Monkey hasn't got a Tango.
