“Nearly all the Brazilian supporters are wearing yellow shirts – it’s a fabulous kaleidoscope of colour” - John Motson

WEEK 15 HEADLINES

No movement among the top six. Barry Redburn still leads from Richard Beach and Grant Bucher, with Joe Friar moving a little closer.

Greg Breed tops a low scoring week with a compact 69. He moves up six places to 37th.

It’s Mitchell Burke’s turn in the little boys’ room with a potty stained 16.

Mike Lamb's back in his rightful place among the bottom two, but he has to get a lot worse to get anywhere close to the forlorn chris cantrill.

WEEK 16 HEADLINES

A new leader! Joe Friar takes over at the head of affairs and Barry Redburn drops to third. It has got close, with the top six covered by just 37 points.

Joe Friar was taken to the top of the League by a super 97, this week’s best.

Richard Bates and chris cantrill share the Kermit the Frog with the wipe of the week, a lowly 23.

And things aren’t getting any better for chris cantrill who is now on the Fantasy Football missing list.

"There is a fine line between serendipity and stalking" in memory of the late, great, David Coleman (my all time favourite Coleman quote is from his book of verse "Keegan two, Heighway one, Liverpool three, Newcastle none" from the 1974 FA Cup Final, could Wordsworth have bettered that?)

WEEK 17 HEADLINES

The comeback kid Barry Redburn returns to the top, with Richard Beach just one point behind, last week's temporary leader Joe Friar returns to third. 16 teams have now topped the one thousand points mark.

This week’s top score, a strong ninety-one, is shared by the top two, Barry Redburn and Richard Beach.

The League is primarily divided between the haves (Suárez (as captain)) and the have nots. Luke cavanaugh is one of the have nots, and his pathetic 14 takes the loo brush of the week award.

At the botton Chris Cantrill and Mike Lamb remain favourites for the wooden spoon and plastic fork prizes, but Richard Bates, luke cavanaugh and Alex Bullen stay poised on the edge of the precipice

In the Papers this morning: ‘Police closing in on Ian Holloway’. Sorry it’s ‘Palace closing in on Ian Holloway’. Alan Brazil

WEEK 18 HEADLINES

After weeks and weeks as number two, Richard Beach finally takes over at the top. Barry Redburn drops to second and Peter Musgrove slipstreams in third.

Suárez isn’t a factor this week and top score is shared between Conor Murphy, and you’ll not believe this, chris cantrill with 64.

Dung pile of the week goes to Craig Hanley with a rather smelly 18.

At the bottom chris cantrill remains adrift despite that top score, with Mike Lamb keeping him company.

“It looks like a one man show here, although there are two men involved” - John Motson

WEEK 19 HEADLINES

Richard Beach turns on the after burners and shoots 34 points clear of Barry Redburn, with Grant Bucher in third. Ominously, last year’s runner-up Richard Pert slips into fourth.

The Mighty Haddocks top score for the second occasion this season with a beautiful 72 (What a guy! Makes you cry. Und I did).

A dingy 17 on the limescale for Richard Dineley gives him this week's Domestos bottle.

Be very afraid if you’re hanging around at the bottom of the table, chris cantrill has woken up and has halved the deficit to just 54 points.

I've made my move to get back to 0 points. Not sure how well I need Alan McGregor to do, but he's the one.

Excellent choice Alan McGregor scored two points today. That brings you up to exactly zero - unless you were silly enough to made him your captain? Surely not? That would make you +2. Hmmm!

"Luis Suarez is a victim of his own make-up" - Micky Quinn

WEEK 20 HEADLINES

In a moderate scoring week Richard Beach continues to head Barry Redburn, with Grant Bucher back up to third and the Tractor boy dropping to fourth.

The Mighty Haddocks are at it again with a top score of 63. They’re now up to 13th. (Are you still in the overall Premier Fantasy League Cup? The Haddocks win in the 3rd round means they are into the last 262,144!!)

In a low scoring week you don’t get much lower than a chain-pulling 16 from Matthew Parry and Richard Dineley.

At the bottom chris cantrill continues to gain on all his rivals as he attempts the great escape. The gap is down to 48 points over Mike Lamb.

Ben Edgell makes Alan McGregor his captain and scores 4 points to bring his total to +2. Thrilling!

“Because of the booking, I'll miss the Holland game - if selected” - Paul Gascoigne

WEEK 21 HEADLINES

Richard Beach, Barry Redburn and Grant Bucher maintain their positions as the top three, while Phil Musgrove moves into fourth above IM Pert.

This week’s Jack of Hearts is Graham Mill-Wilson with a super hero score of 81. He remains in 59th place but creates breathing space over the spoon candidates beneath him.

It’s a pathetic 29 from Richard Bates making him this week’s U-bend.

The excitement at the bottom is unbearable (yawn!) - chris cantrill’s momentum means he has the strugglers in his sight, especially Mike Lamb who looks cooked!

News of the Mighty Haddocks' Cup exploits. They won their 4th round tie and are in the draw for the last 131,072. Anyone else made it this far?

"In their last four games Blackburn have lost 3-0, 3-1, 5-3 and 3-2. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that's 12 goals conceded" - Alan Bazil

WEEK 22 HEADLINES

Ploughing on Richard Beach extends his lead at the top, gaining ground on all his closest rivals.

Top score, a superb 82 from Mahmud Hasan. His Barcelona XI move up three places to 47th overall.

A sad 22, two little toilet ducks, from Matthew Parry.

No change at the bottom where Chris Cantrill, Mike Lamb and Richard Bates hold their places.
