There were five extra matches in week 31.

Thanks Loz, so it was a bonus match week.
However, the following one did seem a more than just bit poor by comparison.
Of course, I have not looked into how the scoring works - I just enjoy the ambience.
And, in particular, Premier Fantasy Footy presenter David Gilbert's 'Colemanballs' red-banner headlines.

Now that Ben Edgell has conveniently reached 16 points, it's time for him to use his transfers (-4 pts per player) to get back to zero!

There are several useful players available - Nicholas Anelka just being one - that would enhance his team!

How about Fernando Torres - any use to anyone?

(Apologies readers - If you're under 18 look away now!) "He’s six foot something, fit as a flea, good looking – he’s got to have something wrong with him. Hopefully he’s hung like a hamster – that would make us all feel better. Having said that, me missus has got a pet hamster at home, and his c**k’s massive." Ian Holloway on Cristiano Ronaldo

HEADLINES: WEEK 33

Yeah! Surely it's done and dusted? Richard Beach pulls further clear of Alan Tate. He's running away with it. The battle for the runners-up spot goes on.

Head and shoulders ahead of everyone this week is James Redburn with an impressive 80.

Matthew Parry is peeing in the potty like a beginner with a poorly aimed 14.

At the wrong end of the table it's still Chris Cantrill, but Matthew Parry drops into the plastic fork position beneath Richard Dineley.

Ben Edgell - doesn't look like it's his Year!

WEEK 34 HEADLINES (not long now!)

Alan Tate closes the gap slightly, like a cool breeze on the Beach. He needs a storm.

Richard Pert makes a late come back into fourth with a more than splendid 89.

Spending a penny this week is Matthew Payne with a less than solid 20.

At the bottom, you guessed it, he’s been there since Week 9 and has become progressively worse. Richard Dineley and Matthew Parry are fighting to avoid the plastic with energetic apathy!

"The FA inquiry has been a farce from start to finish and it's not even finished" Dietmar Hamann. Well no one could say that about the ECF?

WEEK 35 HEADLINES

Alan Tate gains another seven points but needs to cut away seventy more in the closing three weeks to catch runaway leader Richard Beach.

John Garnett’s Fools Gold show their sparkle with a polished top score of 97.

It’s a double incontinent 15 for Richard Dineley and his RDII.

And at the bottom chris cantrill is doomed to wooden spoon notoriety, while the plastic fork is back in the hands of Richard Dineley. The shame!

If I'd bothered to include a goalkeeper I'd have been top this week! Who'd have thought Cech wouldn't play against Sunderland - and now he's out for the rest of the season after the Champions League Semis! :(

Memo to Ben Edgell - get those transfers in - you can get down to 0 now you're on 20!

WEEK 36 HEADLINES

Just a one-point gain for Arsenola this week, the sand is running out for the Beach chasers.

A big 84 from James Redburn tops this week’s charts.

Luke Cavanaugh and Richard Dineley are this week’s two little toilet ducks with 22 a piece.

In case you’re wondering it remains Chris Cantrill in last place, but now only 50 behind the floundering Richard Dineley.

And then there’s Ben Edgell……….

“Giggs will take charge of first team affairs" - Sky website 26 April 2014 Hmmm!

WEEK 37 HEADLINES

The gap at the top closes for the fourth week running, but not enough to give Richard Beach any jitters. The crown is in the washing machine.

A few three-figure scores in this long week, but top among the centurions is Neil Graham with 113, narrowly heading James Redburn’s effort of 112.

A ‘dirty thirty’ from Shanjida Parvin gets this week’s wet wipe treatment.

Looks like Richard Dineley and Chris Cantrill will be fighting it out on the final weekend for the wooden spoon and plastic fork positions, after Chris Cantrill narrows the gap to just 15 points

“He’s a billionaire – estimated worth around £850million.” Ronnie Irani on Vincent Tan

WEEK 38: FINAL WEEK HEADLINES

Congratulations to Richard Beach on taking this season’s coveted Premier Chess Fantasy Football League and to the strong finishing runner-up Alan Tate.

Mark Page and Craig Hanley share the final week’s top score honour with 72.

Richard Bates gets extra potty training with a wet 17.

Chris Cantrill takes the wooden spoon and the plastic fork goes to Richard Dineley. Both were new to the League this season and were out of practice.

Goodbye!

Congratulations to Richard! :D Thank you David for your reports - much appreciated.

And finally to Ben - Week 38 is not the ideal time to play your wild card but at least you must be the only person to double their score in the last week!

For those who enjoyed Fantasy Football, I can recommend World Cup Twatball. Like Fantasy Football, but in reverse: you're attempting to make a team of players who will concede goals, collect bookings, give away penalties and other bad stuff.
