Obtaining the first non-zero grade
A player has started to rapidplay this year (12 games) and has got a 0 grade in the summer grading (actual grade was -6). His performance in the 2nd half of calendar 2007 alone (12 games again) was about 50. The question is: will only the scores achieved in the 2nd half be taken into account for his grading published in January or the first half of 2007 will still be used and his grading be the average of the 24 games

Thanks for that. It implies that only the games of the last 6 months will be taken into account. Given the following (from ECF website):
"For juniors under the age of 18, an enhancement is added to their Grade to take into account their expected improvement over the year. This enhancement is six points for juniors of age 15 to 17, eight for juniors of age 11 to 14, and ten for juniors under the age of 11. The enhancement is added after all calculations are done, and is included in the published Grade. "
does it mean that the enhancement is only half of what is mentioned above for a 6 month performance, as would seem logical (less expected improvement over 6 months than over 12)?
