Not so long ago, you used to be able to browse the Chess Scotland site and take a look at their domestic player ratings.
Not any more, all you get is a picture of Rowson and an invite to join Chess Scotland.
Is this intentional?

You can find out the top 100 on-line but that seems to be the extent of the public information.

Scottish Ratings
Re: Scottish Ratings
Perhaps they have detected your IP address is located in England and are getting their retaliation in first for being charged £6 per congress?!Roger de Coverly wrote:Not so long ago, you used to be able to browse the Chess Scotland site and take a look at their domestic player ratings.

Re: Scottish Ratings
It's not obvious (or at least it wasn't obvious to me) but if you go to grading>search players and change the radio button from search to ranking it will then show you the published grade for the player(s) searched for. There may also be other ways of getting the information as well.
If however you want more detailed statistics of your own games you have to join CS.

Ah I see. They should make it a bit more obvious to visitors as to how the find a Scottish rating. It was known that they were changing the system to not show detail info to non-members. If you are a member, can you look up detail of other people ie not yourself?Ian Jamieson wrote: It's not obvious (or at least it wasn't obvious to me) but if you go to grading>search players and change the radio button from search to ranking it will then show you the published grade for the player(s) searched for..

Yes, members can access the records of everyone on the system.
You can find out your W/D/L with each colour (most games have this informatiom), for each season and for your entire career on the database. Other nuggets such as best win and worst loss are also available.
The system is still under construction, but is looking good.
