I really don't see why. You establish squads and lock down the board order at the start of the season. That's independent of reporting results to the ECF and how the ECF uses them.

Some like to vary board order during the season (where this is possible). It allows captains to take form into account and keeps people on their toes, and can discombobulate opponents. Having live updates may make this a bit silly though, as some stability is also desirable.

It won't be possible for the results update to also do calculations. The new player and junior processes in their current form prevent this. I don't think it's any different in principle from displaying the results on a league or Congress website. In practice it will consolidate results for a player in one place.

It should also enable errors in grading results to be identified in a timely fashion, rather than in a rush around the time of a grading list. Publication elsewhere doesn't do this - that information wouldn't necessarily also be wrong.
