I did some research.

It is the Edinburgh Ricahrdson Cup Winning Team of 1982.

Standing: Raymond Baxter, John Henley, George Weeden, Chris Morrison, Bill Smerdon.
Sitting: Donald Smith, Mark Condie, Danny Kopec and A.N. Other.
(that A.N.Other guy was the only lad who all his games in that competition. P.4 W.4.)

The Cups are the Richarson Cup and the Scottish Open Trophy (which was
also won that year by the A.N.Other guy. Sounds like he was good player.) :?

Off topic, but there used to be a player called "Bye" who got a lot of default wins in tournaments, as his potential opponents glanced at the pairings, then went home... (possibly http://www.ecfgrading.org.uk/?ref=170097C)

You mentioned the lad D.Fault who seemed to lose every game.
What happened to him?

Thank you - his identity has puzzled me for years...

I have certainly played "D.Bye" in a tournament. His last grading was in 2000 and by that time he must have been quite elderly.
