Browser quirks are annoying but shouldn't be a problem for a simple application in this day and age. Just use a CSS framework and then you don't have any issues, there are plenty of good free ones out there. Bootstrap is my favourite.

Edit: I assume the problems on Apple devices are because the grading pages uses an iframe, which noone has really used in web design for several years.

As a workaround, you should be able to see the data on Apple devices if you go direct to the search results page as below, bypassing the iframe environment. Just change the search strings in the URL appropriately.

For example:
http://www.ecfgrading.org.uk/new/glist.php?find=ansell
http://www.ecfgrading.org.uk/new/glist. ... ub=hackney

Obviously this is not how it's supposed to be used and you'll be missing some navigation items and notes etc., but it works.

Thanks Simon,
That does work o.k. Fortunately I also have a PC so I can get the database in the normal way when at home.

Now that a software update has been issued on the Mini Ipad (Apple) it is perfectly O.K getting the ECF grading database. However, the update has caused other problems in the layout of the Ipad, as updates often do.

Problem accessing ECF Grading Database

Is anybody else having problems today?

When I click on Grading and Database, I get a php 500 error, which suggests that there is a problem with the site.

I can't see any way to report this on the ECF site (other than joining the Forum, which of course would be a last resort)

I suppose it might be that they are working on uploading the January grading list

Presumably one of the those wheel things that the ECF mice run around inside has broken.
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.

Afraid not. It's an error currently under investigation.

I must admit I've been checking every day, as I'm waiting to enter about 4 tourneys, including the British, which want the Jan 2015 grade :)

The latest time graders can submit results is midnight tonight. Richard then has to get everything in and then we can run the results. This time we are changing the calculation routines so a bit more checking is required. So it will be a few days yet before you see them.

If there is more information then I will post something on the other place.
