An error, I think. I missed Reg's post when it first appeared, and wasn't aware of it till now. It wants looking at.
Another thing I noticed, which may or may not be connected, is that if I look at the 2013/2014 season, the Manchester League appears twice in the selection menu - but only one of the selections shows the results.

Do the magical properties of ecforum have no end? No sooner mentioned than fixed.

The grading website crashed several times yesterday. I restored it twice, but it was down again overnight.
The cause was probably too many live page requests at the same time. The restore was slow because of the bank holiday.

The site is now working again, but I have had to cut out the "games" and "cross-tables" pages. Hopefully these will be restored in a few days while I sort out what happened.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Happy to help with advice if needed as it should require thousands to even cause a blip?

I had the impression that the grading data wasn't on the same server as the ECF's forum, but is it a coincidence that problems with the grading data coincided with a sudden burst of activity on their forum?

Might be shared MySQL which is silly but possible.

In the prevailing circumstances that is a very generous offer.

Is there any update as to when the games lists will be back online?

After a very quick discussion the issue is a technical one so it might be a while I feel.

I have put an official comment on the ECF site on this subject. As I write there we are hoping to get some functionality back at month end.

We, the grading team, are grateful for Carl's offer and his subsequent advice.

The official comment implies that the down time is due to excessive usage.

If perhaps the 'View by Event' feature was removed, would this reduce the number of database calls as users wouldn't need to select each event in turn to view their season records?
