I am sorry to inform you that Roy Maddock passed away last year.
Roy was born in 1930 and had been a member of Harrow Chess Club for over sixty years.
He played for Harrow in the Hillingdon Chess League amongst others and was a regular on the congress scene.
Roy was editor of the Harrow Chess Club magazine "Harrow Chess Pieces" since the first edition back in September 1971.
In 2006, Roy compiled a 117-page history of Harrow Chess Club for its centenary.
There is a picture of Roy Maddock in the News Archive section on the Harrow Chess Club website.
