I am sorry to inform you that Quentin Dodd sadly passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday 11th July 2023, at the age of 85.
Quentin was a long time member of the Buckley Mold Chess Club and former secretary.
He was also a previous president of the Chester & District Chess League.
Outside chess, Quentin was a Liberal Democrat Councillor representing New Brighton and was former chairman of the Flintshire County Council.
Quentin also wrote a book titled "Stansty", a story of the land and its people, which chronicles the history of Stansty Park, near Wrexham.
A private funeral service will be held at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham, followed by a celebration of his life at Bistre Emmanuel Parish Church, Buckley on Wednesday 2nd August 2023 at 11.00am.
