I am sorry to inform you that Jeremy Humphries passed away on Friday 26th January 2024 after a long illness.
Jeremy joined Stourbridge Chess Club in 2006 and quickly became a club stalwart. He was always one of the first to respond to any club emails.
He always supported internal club tournaments and regularly turned out for Stourbridge teams.
Jeremy was also very supportive of the online club and some of you may know him as cyclemath on Chess.com

Not to be confused with the Bristol and former 4NCL player of a similar name who is spelt HumphREYS.

Very sad to hear this news. I spoke to him only a few weeks or so ago in relation to playing for the Worcestershire Wolfpack online teams in 4NCL. Stourbridge CC website has a short appreciation of him at: http://www.stourbridgechess.force9.co.uk/News.htm
