I am sorry to inform you that Walter Greenwood passed away on 6th December 2023 just a few months after the passing of his wife.
Walter was the longest serving member of Billingham Synthonia Chess Club.
Walter always enjoyed playing games of chess.
He was known for his made-up words for a check, which was "Checksxy Wrecsie".
His funeral took place on Friday 12th January 2024 at 11.30am in the Bluebird Chapel, Stockton Crematorium.
