It is my sad duty to announce the death of Leicestershire player Alan Edwards who passed away yesterday aged 59.

Alan was a strong (200+) player who many here will know, and possibly played.

I'll try to post an appropriate obituary in the next couple of days.

Played Alan at Spalding in '72 and we formed our own clique with Johnny Ripley at the
'75 Midland Open. Alan was one of the nicest guys in the game that I remember.
