Milan Velimirovic

One of the World's few double GMs, Milan Velimirovic, died yesterday. I've just posted a brief obituary (by Michael McDowell) at http://www.theproblemist.org/news/96-20 ... 2-25022013. I met Milan several times over the last twenty years. He was a very strong (GM) solver, one of the greatest composers (GM, again), a first class chess problem populariser/editor and an engaging companion.
He will be greatly missed, in his home country of Serbia and in the chess composition world generally.
