I see on the Keverel Chess Website that Ron Powis died on 11st June 2013 aged 87.
He will be best remembered for running the Cotswold Congress.

What about the Gloucester site? I did him a nice little obituary too, well actually his clubmate did the obituary, but still....

I never met him myself, but he was talked about highly by local players and it felt like the right thing for him to get a mention on the site.
