There was a very good turn out for Colin's funeral service and reception. The occasion was upbeat with lots of stories and memories of Colin shared. Colin's brother Richard was suprised at the warm turnout for Colin by the chess community and even thanked the lone non chess player Bill Philips - "the Labour party man" for sharing memories! (Actually Richard, Bill is a chess player too...) I think it was just family and chess players.
RIP Colin.

A new tribute to Colin Crouch, concentrating on his skills as an endgame analyst and occasional study composer, may be found at http://www.jsbeasley.co.uk. (Click on "Orthodox Chess", then on "Endgame studies".)
