John Hainsworth

While at the 4NCL Wetherby event I was sad to learn about the death of John Hainsworth, a stalwart of Wakefield Chess Club, a few months ago. He was active in chess up until last year, playing three congresses last season. I played him myself some ten years ago and met him several times in the interim. He was a gentleman.
