Cyril's funeral service will be at St Peter & Paul's parish church, Syston, Leics at 12.00 o'clock on Friday 22nd April followed by interment at the cemetery. For chess players who have played at the Social Club, the church is almost directly behind the club.

The service will be led by John Leonard, who is both a retired clergyman and a chess player who has known Cyril for many years.
