We were told that Dinah created history by being the first women to play in the OPEN (Mens) Seniors World Championship.

I don’t know if that is correct as I have not had time to check the 22 earlier World Seniors’ Championships.

Wrong, according to Chessbase - they have Nona Gaprindashvili playing in 2005. I don't know if there have been any other women. She was just an obvious person to check.

It was a very good performance by Dinah with the lowest rated player she faced being rated 1990 and she ended with a rating performance in excess of 2000, so congratulations to her.
