Golders Green FIDE Congress, 23-25 August 2014

Entries are coming in for this event, which starts on Saturday 23rd August (thanks Brendan!) and ends on Bank Holiday Monday.

Here are 12 reasons why you should play:

1. SIX FIDE rated / ECF graded games of chess right in the heart of Golders Green
2. Modest entry fees and easy to commute daily

4. British Championship Qualifying Place for the OPEN (based on 20 players)
5. A longer time limit - all moves in 90 minutes each plus 30 seconds a move
6. Three sections - OPEN, Under 1900 (160) and Under 120
7. Easy to get to by public transport, right next to Golders Green Underground (Northern Line)
8. FREE car parking possible nearby all day, every day
