Called in this afternoon to the Last Drop
There is a pub onsite, called the Drop Inn, which has 2 separate happy hours (i.e. different times) on Friday evenings and a disco from 9 pm Saturday
There is a Carvery at the pub, which looked reasonably priced, just on Sunday from 12:30 to 6 pm - on Friday (lunch onwards) & Saturday (ditto) the pub serves food too, with the same menu as the Village Tea Shop next door (which I was told was open 7 days a week)

Re: 4th 4NCL FIDE Rated Congress
Went yesterday evening to a Bromley Cross/Turton restaurant
King William
The food we had was very good, well worth a visit, very laid back service
It wasn't packed but I would suggest anyone needs to book at the weekend (and it isn't within walking distance of the Last Drop)

It appears that the venue has now changed to another Mercure hotel in the Bolton area. Details are on the 4NCL site, but I thought it worth mentioning here.
