14th Northwick Park Five Round Congress

14th Northwick Park Five Round Congress
Saturday 17th to Sunday 18th December
3 sections: Open, Major and Minor
The Minor is ECF Rated only and entry is open to those under 1500 ECF.
The Major is restricted to under 1860 FIDE.
The Open starts at 9am on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday.
Major and Minor start at 9.45am both days.
Venue: University of Westminster, Harrow Campus, Northwick Park, Harrow, London.

An enjoyable event and thanks to the arbiters and controlling team who organised both the congress and the London Junior Chess Championship at the same time. However, I didn’t see David Sedgwick there; he seemed to have passed on the fire alarm baton: there were two evacuations, one each day!

I must have passed on the baton to Angela Eyton subliminally at the last SCCU Executive Committee meeting.
