Once again we return to Uplands House Hotel, a superb venue just 5 minutes by car from High Wycombe train station. The hotel has bags of character and history as well as a modern feel following a refurb. We've booked the entire hotel for the weekend but it looks like all rooms will be sold by the weekend so if you want to stay at the venue we suggest you enter without delay.
The event will be a 5 round swiss with THREE sections, and for the first time, all three of them will be FIDE rated:-
FIDE rated Open
FIDE rated Challengers [Under 2050 or U175 if unrated]
FIDE rated Major [Under 1750 or U140 if unrated]
English players must be Gold ECF members. Non-English players have no ECF membership requirement.
Full details can be found here.
A list of the current entries can be found here

The event is nearly full (we have 5 playing spaces left for players). The hotel has 1 room left if anyone needs it.

Apologies for the delay in transmission. We've had the fire alarm go off. For a moment I thought that David Sedgwick had turned up, but it turned out to be the Chef burning the burgers!

Turning up at High Wycombe today was something I considered. The gremlins must have confused the thought and the actuality.Sean Hewitt wrote:Apologies for the delay in transmission. I hope you're now back on track.
