Hendon Chess Club first Thursday blitz - register now (http://www.hendonchessclub.com/blitz/) for the tournament to make sure we have a place for you. 10 minutes per player per game, 6 rounds, FIDE rated, 7.30pm start, £5 to enter.
Bexhill U2200 + U1900 congress coming up on 22-23 March (http://sussexweekendchess.blogspot.co.uk/) , weather improving!
Survey Results - 80% of our respondents wanted me to carry on doing Golders Green Rapidplays but do more Golders Green Congresses! Therefore we have fitted the 2nd Congress in over Easter (http://www.goldersgreenchessweekender.blogspot.co.uk/) this year, and we hope you find time to play.

Golders Green Easter Congress, 19-21 April 2014 has three sections (http://www.goldersgreenchessweekender.blogspot.co.uk/) , each of them is FIDE rated and ECF graded. Six rounds!

Hampstead under 2200 this weekend: (http://hampsteadchess.blogspot.co.uk/) "am I good enough to play in this event?"

I am being asked more often whether or not a player is "good enough" to play in this event. is my rating high enough? the answer to that is simple. Take a look at the crosstables for our previous tournaments and if you have time play through some of the games from the winners.

You will quickly see that we not only have some very tough, experienced 2100 players, but also plenty of sub 1600 (120) amateurs and we tailor our rating prizes to reflect that. Yes, some games will be tough , but that is good experience, and you can learn a lot from a post-mortem session over coffee and cake with a stronger player. There are always results that go against the rating of the players. Moreover when you analyse some of the games played you'll see that there are plenty of chances -you just have to be alert and ready to take advantage of them when they occur!

Malta Rating and IM norm tournament 21-27 May, we have a lovely venue (The Imperial Hotel, Sliema (http://www.imperialhotelmalta.com) ) and great rates for board and accommodation. We will hold two ten player all play all sections, based on your rating, suitable for any rated player, or unrated players seeking a FULL RATING in one go, as all 9 games will be rated!
