Golders Green May Day Bank Holiday Congress, 3-5 May 2014

I am pleased to announce that we will be holding our third weekend congress at Golders Green Parish Church Hall over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend of 3-5th May 2014.

http://www.goldersgreenchessweekender.blogspot.co.uk/

We are taking entries for both Easter and May Day right now!

There will be three sections, an Open (with a British Championship Qualifying Place), an Under 1900 (or under ECF 160 if you don't have a standard FIDE rating already) and an Under 1600 (or under ECF 120). FIDE standard rating always takes priority to determine eligibility for a section.

There will be a first prize of £200 and a second prize of £100 in each section.

The time control is all the moves in 90 minutes per player PLUS 30 seconds a move.

There will be SIX ROUNDS, with two rounds a day, at 10.30am-2.30pm and 3pm-7pm.

All sections will be rated by FIDE and graded by the English Chess Federation. If you are English then you will have to be a member of the ECF at Gold or Platinum to participate. Non-English players don't have to be a member of the ECF but DO have to supply a FIDE ID number with their entry.
