By Chess player demand I am again running the Chester le Street Summer Chess Congress at Park View School /Community Association, Church Chare, Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham DH3 3PZ .

Sell it to the wife by advising her she can go shopping to the metro centre !
For the kids Beamish open air museum and the beaches ,castles , older teens night life in Durham and Newcastle.
For those single grumpy old men chess players, (and you know who you are ),plenty pubs and chess banter in the real world .
So off the sofa dust the books down and get ready for this chess event !

Make sure you come to the rather excellent night out in Durham City on the Saturday night the views are excellent in more ways than one
