How about publishing the results of the Second Witney Congress?

Why do you care? You couldn't even be bothered to enter. Why don't you mind your own business and post something constructive for a change? Please don't bother to try to enter the event (or indeed the FIDE rated congress), as I will decline the entry.

Cue another whinge from you I expect about how you couldn't possibly play on benches.

Have I touched a raw nerve? How many players actually played in the Open? The last published entry list didn't even have enough players to support an all play all.

But an attitude which responds to mild criticism in this manner is not conducive to promotion of a Chess Congress and I don't think it acceptable to be expected to sit on benches for potentially eighteen hours.

I don't think someone refusing to play in local county matches because they dislike playing in village halls and schools is on strong ground complaining as an organiser about player likes and dislikes.

Anyway what's the problem with publishing the 2014 results? They will be in the grading data eventually, so cannot be kept secret for ever.

Well, 80+ entrants in our second year and a load of glowing emails afterwards suggests that not everybody's backside is quite as delicate as yours.

PS I don't dislike playing in village halls in general. I dislike one in particular.

PPS The results will appear when our webmaster can do it. Until now he has had other things to concern him. I'm not going to go into the reasons for you to pick over on a public forum.

The grading files reveal that only five players participated in the Open. As to whether the advertised prize fund was honoured, the players will know.

It shows contempt for the participants not to publish the results, something the ECF itself has been indirectly guilty of.

As not one of them has seen the need to contact me on the subject, you seem considerably more exercised about it than they are. Anyway, as you didn't actually enter, I'm not sure what gives you the right to speak on their behalf.

Does it show "contempt" for the participants to give them all a prize as well...? :D

You make unilateral decisions for the 4NCL then?

If you aren't making the decision, why the threat?

It's pretty clear that he is making the decisions, hence your ban. In fact, after the grief you've caused us with your lies, consider yourself barred from e2e4 events too.
