4NCL Rapidplay and Blitz Championships 29-31 August 2015

We're holding the above event at Park Inn Birmingham West over the August bank holiday weekend of 29-31 August. There are two separate events, with a discounted entry fee for those who would like to play on all three days. The total prize fund is £3,400, with an £800 first prize in the Rapidplay and £400 first prize in the Blitz (plus a £250 prize for the player with the most points in the Rapidplay and Blitz combined).

The manual refund system for GMs, IMs, FMs, female players etc is a little bit clunky, but seems to work fine.

If I may, I am going to give Alex H just a short recovery period before he throws himself into this and other 4NCL-related matters. I considered nagging him during the BCC, but was slightly nervous about the sort of reply I might get.

As of this morning (NZ time) we have five GMs and two IMs among the runners and riders.

4.4/5 is indeed an impressive score
