This looks like a very convenient event for me, and I hope I shall be able to play. Will the clocks be digital?

This notification is rather late as anyone entering now has to pay a late entry surcharge.

That is one of the earliest late entry fee dates I've seen

The Junior definition as under 18 on 23rd September 2015 is a little baffling. Was the 2014 Congress in September by any chance?

Some Congresses will offer a discount for really early entry. The London Chess Classic entry fees are lower if you enter by the middle of October.

The wording on time controls would seem to imply mechanical clocks, specifically that 15 minutes is added at move 36.

It's a shame that this is also the date for the 33rd Hampstead Congress.

I am informed that the late entry date should have read 15/10/15. Analogue clocks will be used.

Clashes with Scarborough too :( I would have thought, even given the distance, that's quite a big one to go up against.

I am now informed that the congress has been cancelled following the Metropolitan club's AGM ! :?

I first became aware of this congress through connections with school in which it was to be held. I thought it would be a superb location for a chess event and so was keen to enter. I sent off my cheque on the first day the entry form appeared on the club's website. Now there is not even a mention of it there - no cancellation notice, it's just disappeared. Had I not been a reader of this forum, I wonder how long it would have been before I became aware that it was not happening?

Shame that SCCU county chess organised around selected congresses (Metropolitan), 4NCL, but not any of Adam's congresses. I hope the late changes in some County matches (venues being not available earlier) were not the cause of stopping this tournament.
Nice venue too & anniversary. Was a while ago that I played that one.
Best wishes to those that have been organising this Metropolitan over the years.
I recommend Hampstead Nigel if you want an alternative congress this w/e.
