Just a reminder that the Richmond Rapidplays will resume on Sunday 12th June, at Orleans Park School, Richmond Road, Twickenham.
Top entry so far in the Open is GM Dr. John Nunn. Anyone fancy having a crack at him?
3 sections, FIDE rated, ECF graded, guaranteed prizes.
Entry form is attached.

Re: Richmond Rapidplays - 12 June 2016
We have now passed 70 entries, this evening, if my sums are right. The Open looks really tasty!
If you wish to take part and haven't already entered, please do so by tomorrow 1 p.m., when I will start preparing first round pairings. Any entries received before then will not incur a late entry fee.
Entries received after that will incur a surcharge, and will be paired in any way that doesn't involve changing existing pairings. Entries may be accepted on the day itself, but the late fee is higher still, and if you arrive too late for a timely registration and pairing, you may miss the first round, or have a shortened first round game, whatever will cause least disruption to the rest of the tournament.
If more than 80 entries are received, we may have to refuse further entries. We have a great venue, and could easily hold an event for 400, indeed we recently accommodated a large EPSCA U11 Zonal with ease (and compliments). However, we won't have equipment available on the day for many more than 80 entries. If you really want to play, and haven't let us know before Sunday morning, it would certainly help your case if you brought a suitable digital clock along with you.
Anyway, any worries we had, as to whether people would still be interested in a re-launched Richmond Rapidplay, have been swept away and we are now quite excited about what looks to be a fine event. Looking forward to seeing many of you there on Sunday!
