Full results of the 2015 ECF National Schools Girls Team Finals

Post by Andrew Martin » Sun Apr 12, 2015 4:43 pm

Held over the weekend of 11/12 April 2015, the championships were very successful. The finals were friendly, competitive and sporting, close until the end.

Both winners from 2014 retained the title of champions.

U19

1st Nonsuch A 23 (14.8 )

2nd Howell's Cardiff 20 (12.11)

3rd Fernwood A 15 ( 12.1)

4th St Paul's Girls School 12 ( 13.9)

5th The Abbey School Reading 11.5 (14.5)

6th RGS Newcastle 11.5 ( 13.4)

7th Nonsuch B 8.5 ( 13.7)

8th Fernwood B 8.5 ( 11.11)

9th St Edward's Leek 8 ( 13.2)

As age-handicapping applied in this event, the first tie break went in favour of the older team, who had been handicapped most over the nine rounds.

U11

1st Howell's Cardiff A 18 ( Representing a remarkable 100% score in both the semi-finals and final, 33/33.) This really is an outstanding team.

2nd Putney High 12

3rd St Catherine's, Bramley A 9

4th Howell's B 9

5th RGS Newcastle 8

6th St Edward's Leek 7

7th St Catherine's B 0

Without age-handicapping,the first tie break was the individual match result between teams.

My sincere thanks to St Catherine's School, sponsor and host and to Traci Whitfield. who attended in the capacity of ECF Junior Director.

The entry to this event nearly doubled in 2014/15; we hope to double up again in 2015/16 and will be working to achieve that aim.
