It's good to see that girls chess seems to be in good hands!

Thanks for pointing out that report. I was there too, on the recording desk, and was delighted to see how smoothly everything went. Nottinghamshire's John Crawley seems to have the knack of organising these things.

Just one small point: whereas the report says:
While in the end the top three counties were obviously very strong with international players and grand master coaches
on behalf of the Nottinghamshire coaches I would like to say, 'If only'!
