SCCU U14/U130 tournament
The SCCU runs an inter-county event for U14 teams with a grade limit of below 130 (August list), played over 12 boards. The final takes place today, Surrey vs Hants. Surrey have won the event for the past 3 years, Hants have reached the final for the first time ever. Surrey won 17.5 to 6.5 and so retain the title.
With 8 reserve boards also being played 40 young chess players enjoyed representing their county.
