NEW JUNIOR CHESS CLUB - BRADFORD

Post by Andrew Wainwright » Mon Apr 30, 2012 1:36 pm

Bradford Knights Chess Academy will launch on Saturday May 12th 2012.

This is a brand new chess club for children u16 in the Bradford and District Area, though children from further afield are welcome to attend.

We have an enthusiastic group of coaches in myself, Winston Williams, Ihor Lewyk, Matthew Webb and Andrew Bak. We aim to start small but hope that in time the club will grow and that many children will benefit from learning chess at our new club.

Does this mean the Bradford based Renaissance Chess Academy is no more? There's still a website, but the most recent news appears to be three years old.

Hi Roger,

To the best of my knowledge the Bradford based Renaissance Chess Academy ceased to be active 2-3yrs ago. I don't really have any further information on what happened to that entity.

For the avoidance of doubt, our new club is in no way connected with the Renaissance Chess Academy.
