Business with the ECF

Post by Phil Ehr » Tue Sep 04, 2012 9:13 am

Please see this link, "Business with the ECF": http://www.englishchess.org.uk/?page_id=20586

Proposals from four companies are being evaluated for a proof of concept demonstration (or pilot) where school teams play matches on the Internet. If the pilot is (or pilots are) successful, expect to see an internet option for the first round of the 2013/14 National Schools Chess Championships. Schools interested in participating in a pilot should contact Neill Cooper, ECF Manager of Secondary Schools within the next several weeks.

Regarding the other request at the link, I'd be grateful if Forum readers would encourage organisers to submit proposals to run the three tournaments shown. I am very near a decision, however, to continue the English Junior Rapidplay this year at the London Classic. Decisions on the other two events should be taken immediately after the AGM, if not sooner. The RFP deadline is 30 September.

Many thanks.

John,
I'm not comfortable listing the four companies yet. Schoolchess.net got in touch.
