Morning Bob

Web site shows Alan is equal 1st on 6/8, very good and well done, all the best for the final round. Currently gaining 30.3 rating points with a RP of 2489.

Bob,
An IM norm is a 2450 performance, so Alan does need another half a point.

Draw for Alan to secure his second IM norm with 6.5/9 and a 2459 performance. Ravi finished with a loss but still gained rating points and hopefully valuable experience of playing in a strong all-play-all.

Not only an IM norm, but Alan won the event (on tie-break). Not bad for the sixth seed!

Excellent result.

I'm losing count with Alan, has he all three norms yet?

Excellent news that Alan Merry got a 2nd IM norm.I hope he gets all the support possible from the ECF to help him progress.Alan not playing in the worlds in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates, nor is Marcus Harvey anther fine junior wonder why its possible its because its over Christmas? or is it because the event will cost the parents to much? We appear to have no male junior in the under 18 event. Those 2 should be in it and the world under 21 i do hope money is not the reason those two are not going.

Well at least the storm was not as bad as forecast. I believe tomorrow i be able to get out in the garden.
when you are successful many losers bark at you.

Agreed! Would love to see them both, and Yang-Fan play.
