Yesterday, the two Chinese GMs drew with each other and have been joined in the lead, on 7/9, by a Russian GM. Jamie's opponent, Mohamed Nader, won the Arab Boys Under-20 Championship 2013 to gain the IM title.

Round 10:

Bd. 61 Grahesh Y 1919 IND (3) - (3) Horton Jamie A 2064 ENG

Another welcome draw, yesterday, after getting two Black's in row is good enough.

Thanks to Loz for all the info, particularly the links.
Tbat last link is not the right one as it goes to the European Youth Ch. about to start in Batumi, Georgia.
There is a link to the World Junior results in the first post in thread.
And, if you click on ENG there you can see Jamie's results.
Ignoring a R7 loss, he scored 1.5/6 first half and 3.5/6 second.
Hope he enjoyed going. and playing in the event and that Chessbase do a final report.

Apologies, link now corrected. Although I didn't follow the top boards too closely I noticed four players were leading with 9/12 and two were facing each other so despite 13 rounds seeming more like a test of endurance than skill the event remained competitive until the end.

For example, this player from Croatia.

oh my goodness! (reminds me of the time I foolishly tried the doubling up strategy in blackjack)
