Simultaneous displays for juniors in Watford

Post by Roger Lancaster » Wed May 06, 2015 8:04 pm

Watford Chess Club plans several simultaneous displays for juniors over the coming months, with the first being undertaken by FM Venkataramanan Tiruchirapalli on Sunday evening, 17 May, and another by FM Chris Duncan on 14 June. Both of these, and probably others where details have yet to be finalised, will take place at The Happy Hour pub in Watford (free viewing for spectators with reasonably priced food and drink available) from 6 o'clock onwards as part of the club's drive to popularise the game in the town and surrounding areas. Space at the venue is limited but juniors interested in participating might usefully check the club website at watfordchessclub.org for up-to-date information as to any vacant places.

As well as the Chris Duncan simul on 14 June mentioned above, there will be another by Jerry Rudge (ECF 187) at Watford Chess Club on Tuesday evening 9 June from 6.45 onwards. Interested juniors can enquire via [email protected].
