Re: Dell chess champions head off to Greece
More about The Dell and St John's Cardiff, both mentioned in the above post.
St John’s sail into EPSCA under 9s finals
Over the weekend 6-7 June, St John’s Cardiff secured a place in the EPSCA finals. The team-of-five, plus a playing reserve, came second in the six round semi-final played at Prestatyn. They scored 22 points out of a possible 30, and encouragingly beat the winning team 3-2.
The all-play-all, eight-team final will be held at Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport Hotel on 30 June and 1 July, in what will be an exciting week for Welsh schools. On 2-3 July, the finals of the ECF Under 11 open take place at Uppingham School, with teams from The Grange, Monmouth, and The Dell, Chepstow, taking part.
