Adam is finishing strongly and gaining lots of rating points. Hopefully Alan will gain rating points as well and edge towards the 2400 rating he needs for the IM title. Isaac and Edmund appear to have struggled more, though Isaac Sanders has suffered a bit from the yo-yo effect. All four players got a lot of titled players and look to have gained a lot of experience from this tournament. Best of luck to them in the final round (which may have started by now, or will start soon).

An excellent last round result for Alan who won to finish on 5.5. Adam drew to finish on 5, Edmund also drew and finished on 4.5. Sadly, Isaac lost to finish on 3.5.

Individual performance including rating change

Alan

Adam

Edmund

Isaac

Tough for Isaac, who has played elsewhere in Europe this summer of course and may be fatigued to some extent, playing 3 GMs, a WGM and 2 WIMs and in total against players form 8 different countries, which suggests this is a good tournament for aspiring players to target next summer
