Under 12

1. Alex Barlov 5/6, 2. Sagnik Chatterjee 4.5/6, 3. Nilomi Desai 4/6

Alex dropped only 2 draws, to Sagnik and Ben Hammond. Sagnik's result is particularly noteworthy as he is only 9 years of age. He dropped 3 draws (no losses) to Vigus Widdicombe, Alex Barlov and Ben Hammond.

Alex and Sagnik both qualify for the London Junior Championship U12 Major.

Nilomi qualified for the U12 Minor, alongside Henry Shard, Vigus Widdicombe, Ben Hammond, Anehan Ahilan,Tomas Le Rendu and Charles Calzia, who each scored 3.5/6.

Under 10

1= Naavya Sharma & Suyash Prasad 5.5/6, 3.Nadhmi Auchi 4.5/6

A fabulous score by both Naavya and Suyash, who drop only a single draw to each other.

All three qualify for the U10 Major.

On 4/6 were Nischal Thatte, Nandinee Thatte, Alexander Pang and Samuel Le Rendu, whilst on 3.5/6 were Alisa Karlova,Tarun Desai and Teymour Harandi, all of whom qualify for the U10 Minor. Nischal's result is amazing, given that he has just turned 7 a week ago!

Under 8

1. Nicholas Kram 5.5/6, 2.Luca Buanne 5/6, 3. Jack Esiri 4.5/6, all qualifying for the Under 8 Final, alongside Max Schuberth 4/6.

Nicholas dropped a single draw only, to Jack, whilst Luca lost but one game, against Nicholas.

Medals were awarded to Lewis Low, Joseph O' Donnell, Narayan Crawford and Matthew Parker for Playing in the Spirit of the Game.

Nicholas joined the novices classes at Richmond Juniors only last term, so this a genuinely outstanding result.

Richmond Junior Chess Club would like to thank David Malam, for allowing us the use of Twickenham Prep's premises to hold the event.
