The 2016 British Championships being an example, where there are already links to the results and pairings for all the tournaments, even though there's not yet any data other than the nominal arbiters of each event.

We collect the entries in a spreadsheet. This spreadsheet then generates the import file needed for all entries to be added at once. Ideally we'd do this job once, so we leave it late to do it so we have to add as few late entries manually as possible.

The "skeleton" Chess-Results files are there so that the webmaster can link to them on the website.

Quite right; the coverage when the event was running was very shabby.

The website structure was the same as last year when the event was held in Ireland. The people responsible over here (not me) then had the site running really well with all the team names and results in real time and if I recall all (or at least most) of the games in all four competitions were shown live.

I certainly had expected that England would make more effort to field their strongest team and try to regain the Glorney.

Last year Ireland won for the first time in ages and seem to have retained the trophy quite comfortably this time, even without FM Conor O'Donnell who will still be eligible for another year or two.

Don't think it will get any easier to win it back next year. Our top two boards still haven't reached their 14th birthdays.

It helps the other Nations that the Welsh Junior Director has a habit of sabotaging their Glorney team by fielding lower rated / unrated / younger players, rather than the higher rated experienced players who have declared themselves available - and whose grades in this instance would have placed them on boards 2 and 3. For the third year running the Welsh Glorney team has come last due to continued bullying by WCU Directors.
