Sponsorship or Contribution

This forum is now looking for a little sponsorship, well at least to cover some of my costs - anything beyond that will be given back to chess

Please bear us in mind or spread the word, thanks....

Carl, thanks for the reminder that there are behind the scenes costs. And, thanks for providing another dimension to people's view of and knowledge about what is going on in chess through this forum.
I certainly would not be anywhere near as well informed or connected if not for this excellent medium of communication.
I don't know much about raising sponsorship but I would be willing to pay a subscription.

So would I.

Carl, how do we contribute.

Carl,
Can you give us an idea on what sort of sums we are looking for?

Will Roger de Coverly and Alex Holowczak be advocating a pay-as-you-post or annual subscription ?

Unless it's a penny post Alex and Roger will be impoverished. I'd favour a yearly sub. But, Carl should decide what is viable. Donations are more flexible than fixed sums but variable. In the current frozen economic climate a sponsor would need to see a return on their money in terms of forum members buying their products or services.
