ECF Grading List: January 2017

Post by Michael Flatt » Wed Jan 11, 2017 4:19 pm

There has been an unavoidable disruption of the ECF grading process this season due to the change of grading personnel (twice).

The normal list of events submitted for grading hadn't been updated since September but today I noticed that it is now being kept up to date.
I suggest that it is worth checking to confirm that your events have been processed.

The deadline for ECF Graders to submit events is 20th January 2017.

Thank you for the alert. I had been pressing for the list to be updated, but I hadn't noticed that it had been.

I am hoping Thames Valley have this Ok. I am no longer the grader & my offer of assistance was between 16-31/12.
Similarly the Surbiton internal where have gone elsewhere.
Anyway the deadline has not changed & in this part of the world we have been kept in the loop.
Personally we take too much notice in the Jan list - most of the events I play in are July 16 dependent or Fide dependent.

No time to help in January anyway.

I think Matt is doing a marvellous job. He had inherited a considerable backlog which now seems to have been cleared.

Some months ago, before Matt was in post, I didn't get any reply from my grading submission and forgot about it. Today, noticing it was missing from the recently available list of graded events I resubmitted and got an almost immediate response along with some other stuff I was holding back.

So any idea when the new list is actually coming online?

Last year was the 26th January so a similar date this year is a reasonable estimate.

The closing date for graders to submit results is today. For various reasons I expect it will take us a bit longer than usual this time. Our service standard is to get grades on line in January and I have every intention of delivering that, but the very earliest date is over the weekend of 28/29 January.

Thanks Brian, in that case it is safe to say that for eligibility purposes at the muswell hill Rapidplay on 28th we will be using current grades!

Many thanks, Brian (and to all the other graders involved), but I can't say I enjoyed my new grade!

I note that it isn't possible to list players by county anymore (unless I missed something?)

Rather annoying.......

I'm not sure 210 gets into the forum team, or who we are going to play :-)
