Gawain Jones is joint leader on 5/6 with a rating performance of 2852. His wins include three against GMs rated 2541, 2548 and 2580 and his two draws came against GMs rated 2709 and 2693.

David Howell and Adam Hunt are on 3.5 and Andrew Ledger is on 2.5.

Congratulations to Ameet Ghasi who won his last four rounds to take the title with 9/11. The first British Blitz was held in 1999 and was won by Michael Adams. The event was also held between 2003-06 and was won by Luke McShane in 2003, Gavin Wall in 2004, shared by Keith Arkell and Craig Hanley in 2005 and finally by Simon Williams in 2006.

Jovanka Houska played on top board for Bergen in the final weekend of the league. She lost to Grandmaster Jon Ludvig Hammer rated 2606 in round eight before finishing with a win against FM Espen Forsa rated 2315. She scored 4/6 for the season. Her team finished in fourth place.
