Intriguing just how similar the max 12 board strength for 3C's and York over 12 boards would be to that Drunken knights team. +-1 average grade! Not sure how (m?)any other non 4NCL outfits there are that can get close to that.

Yes, that's a properly good team No surprise round London I guess.

Its a slight shame in a way a few of these huge league clashes don't get better publicity. A fair few of them wouldn't disgrace Div 1 4NCL and you do definitely get some good stories out of it all.

Who knows indeed, or what the committee will decide when it comes to it. But Wood Green, which is a chess club do not, at this time, want their name to go forward. There are people for other awards who have told me privately they don't want to be considered for a variety of reasons.
