GDPR would prevent the local authority giving clubs names but maybe Brian's experience provides a clue. We inform local authority that chess training is available at a local club and let them add it to their list of resources.

I think we have a couple turning up for our junior early evening coaching sessions but unsure how they have found us (or the other way round). That is a at a medium sized Lancashire town. Multiply that across the country and it's a good number.

It is worth noting how good his four volume Keres games collection is from last year. A fine piece of scholarship that now serves as a tribute to both the author and it's subject.

Venue and hotel quality? Plus general climate. I thought comments on Curacao was that hotel was good but heat and humidity were sapping.

At the South Lakes Congress last year, held at Barrow-in-Furness town hall,, there was a fine picture of Znosko- Borowsky giving a simul at the same venue a few decades earlier.
